pleasantville-3

The Pleasantville baseball team is gearing up for its second season in the West Central Conference, and will be looking to improve upon a 13-8 mark in league play. The Trojans have one of the more experienced teams in the league this season, and will have better scouting reports for opponents. Senior Wyatt Clark believes that while it’s a tough league, he says not to count Pleasantville out, especially this season.

“The West Central Conference is a very difficult conference. There’s a lot of good teams with a lot of good athletes in there. We went right around .500 last year, I think we can do that or better this year, knowing that they lost people, we lost people, but I also think that we have a better team going forward, and we’ll be able to surprise some people this season.”

Clark and the Trojans travel to defending Class 2A champion Van Meter on Monday to get the season underway.
