The Knoxville City Council met in regular session Monday. The council approved a resolution setting salaries and wages for appointed officers and non-collective bargaining unit employees of the city for the fiscal year beginning July 1st. 

They approved a resolution approving a plat of survey for a parcel of Outlot 1, Ridnouer Addition to the city of Knoxville as well as held a discussion regarding a proposed addition to Title Eight of the Knoxville Zoning Code relating to Rental Inspections. Knoxville City Manager Aaron Adams tells KNIA/KRLS News the council was presented with a potential Rental Inspection Program so the council could have an idea as to what changes they might like to see or have implemented before the July 6th council meeting. Adams says currently the city does not have or has had a Rental Inspection Program. 

They gave first consideration to an ordinance amending the code of ordinances by amending provisions pertaining to sanitary user charges, as well as Fire/Hazardous Material Fees. The council approved a resolution to approve an agreement between the City of Knoxville and Fire Recovery EMS, LLC related to outside billing services for the Knoxville Fire Department. 

They set multiple public hearings for July 6th for a proposed addition to Title Nine of the Knoxville Zoning Code relating to Commercial Design Guidelines as well as Intents of Residential Districts as stated in Title Nine Chapter Six and camping within city limits. 

The council also approved pay application #2 for the Roche Street Culvert Replacement Project.
