A Warren County criminal serving time in the Fort Dodge Correctional Facility has been reported dead by the Iowa Department of Corrections Tuesday. Fifty-six year old Thomas Daleske was serving a 45-year sentence for multiple counts of sexual abuse and lascivious acts with a child, and was found dead in his cell early Sunday morning. The Department of Corrections has asked the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation to conduct an investigation, and the State Medical Examiner is conducting an autopsy to determine the cause of death, with all organizations working with the Webster County Attorney on any pending criminal charges. Daleske, who lived in rural Ackworth, was accused of raping at least eight boys in Warren County dating back to 1986, working as a volunteer with a local Boy Scout troop.
