The Pleasantville City Council met in regular session Tuesday. They held a discussion regarding a proposal from Chris Sobotka to put internet antennas on the water tower that would provide internet to rural areas around Pleasantville, to which the council decided they would like more feedback from the city engineer regarding the potential project.

The council approved local option sales tax grants as well as Jefferson and Mill Street closures for June 30th. They approved an Iowarn Membership as well as employee handbook updates, compensation time carry over and a three percent increase in employee salaries. The council approved the fiscal year 2019 audit report as well as approved pay application number ten for Iowa Civil Contracting and held a discussion regarding the addition of a water main on W. Pleasant Street with no action being taken.
