The Twin Cedars Softball Squad was unable to get its game in due to rain on Friday night, but the Sabers are already seeing the pitching staff live up to the preseason billing. Coach Zack Dunkin tells KRLS Sports while both Grace Bailey and Ali Mockenhaupt are not overpowering they both will attack the strike zone.

Dunkin:
“Pitching wise we’re not going to overpower people, but what Grace and Ali does is attack the strike zone. I think the Murray game, I think Grace threw 65 pitches and 48 were strikes. She doesn’t attack the middle of the zone, she changes speeds. So if she does that, we’re going to have a chance in a lot of games”

The Sabers will head to North Mahaska for a triangular with the WarHawks and Pleasantville today.
