The Twin Cedars Baseball Squad fell to North Mahaska 7-2 on Saturday. The Sabers allowed five runs in the first inning and could not recover. Coach Mark Schroeder tells KRLS Sports at the season’s halfway point, he is seeing the guys improve and buy into the better than average theme he was stressing in the preseason.
Schroeder:
“It would be naive to say that we’ve figured out that concept and ran with it, because we have made some mistakes that have held us back. We have time, but it’s dwindling. We have to make the routine plays and get the things done that we’ve practiced, but we’re almost there.”
The Sabers have a busy week of games in week three starting Monday hosting Cardinal.
