Clayton Cummings pitches vs. Pella Christian on 7-3-2020

The 2020 Little Hawkeye Conference season would have officially now been over after Friday’s games — and the softball and baseball teams from Pella High School are now splitting destinations for the remainder of the season over the next week and a half.

Tonight, Pella stays at home to take on Grinnell in softball, and Head Coach Teresa Thompson says the Lady Dutch need to flip the script and do more of the little things right after they were swept in a doubleheader against the Tigers last week.

Pella will face a potential playoff foe and No. 5 Winterset on the road. The Dutch bats will try to regain some traction after scoring only eight runs over their last six games against a Huskies pitching staff with the 3rd best team ERA in Class 3A at 1.69.

First pitch at both sites is at 7:30 — hear the Lady Dutch at home against Grinnell live on 92.1 KRLS, with pregame at 7:15.
