Opportunity awaits the Pella Christian softball as they sit idle both today and Tuesday, and while the end of the week is busy, they could hit a milestone not seen in the program since the end of the run of Regionals Finals appearances in 2017.

Pella Christian sits at 6-7 in the win-loss column, and with games against Grinnell and Pella this week — teams they are currently 4-0 against, they could at minimum avoid a losing season, and with a win at potential playoff foe Colfax-Mingo, could jump above .500 and guarantee a winning season.

The task will not come easy, however, as the Eagles had to come from behind in all three of their games against their rival Lady Dutch, and Grinnell has won four of their last five, while two of Colfax-Mingo’s three losses have come against ranked opponents (No. 4 in 1A Lynnville-Sully and No. 15 in 1A Martensdale-St. Mary’s ).

Pella Christian will begin competition Wednesday night at Grinnell.
