It took just 2 1/2 innings for the Melcher-Dallas Softball Squad to dispose of Murray Monday night in the class 1A regional. The Saints spotted the Mustangs a run in the top of the first but responded with three runs in the bottom go the first, then erupted for 14 runs in the second to win by a score of 17-2. The onslaught was highlighted by home runs from Riley Enfield ,BrieAnna Remster, and Kynser Reed. Reed and Paetyn Anderson both drove in four runs to lead the Saints offense. Remster got the win needing just three innings of work striking out four. Melcher-Dallas moved to 15-5 on the season and will travel to Martensdale-St. Mary’s in a regional quarterfinal on Wednesday.
