The Knoxville School Board met in regular session Monday. The board approved a geotech proposal for Allender Butzke to provide soil bearing conditions for the new middle school project. They approved curriculum-related purchases as well as amended registration fees and a sick/family leave proposal in which all non-teacher employees who work 10 months receive 15 days per year, and all non-teacher employees who work 12 months receive 18 days per year.
The board designated multiple district positions as well as approved the Oskaloosa Herald as the official publication source, a $4 million depository limit at Marion County Bank, and appointed Ahlers & Cooney as the school attorney.
They approved multiple fundraisers for the 2020-2021 school year as well as discussed the process and timeline for the annual evaluation of the superintendent and set July 27th for a school board work session to discuss COVID-19.
