The journey to Fort Dodge and the 2020 state softball tournament takes the Eagles on the road to No. 14 ranked Interstate 35 in Truro tonight.

Pella Christian is 9-8 overall and used their offense to score at one point what was eight unanswered runs in a 10-7 win Monday night in Pleasantville, and they head to face a Roadrunners team with a similar stat line to the Eagles.

HIGHLIGHTS FROM MONDAY:

POST-GAME INTERVIEW WITH EMRI AGRE, SYDNEY NUNNIKHOVEN, AND NATALIE HARRILL:

The Eagles are hitting .318 with an on base percentage of .392 and slugging rate of .432 — while I-35 is hitting .319/.397/.416, and both teams average close to six runs per game scored and five runs given up. Each pitching staff doesn’t have a high strikeout rate, and are prone to giving up base runners–1.62 walks and hitting per inning pitched for the Roadrunners, and a 1.50 WHIP for P.C.

First pitch from Truro is at 7 p.m. tonight, and pregame coverage of Eagles postseason softball in the Class 2A regional playoffs against Interstate 35 begins at 6:45 this evening on KRLS3.
