Local businesses may soon be the beneficiary of grants due to the CARES Act. According to a release from Congresswoman Cindy Axne, the Mid-Iowa Development Fund, Inc. in Polk City will receive a $550,000 grant to support impacted businesses in Warren, Dallas, and Polk, counties. With the addition of these grants, over $10.8 billion in federal funds have been spent in Iowa, including at least $1.2 billion spent directly within Iowa’s Third Congressional District.
