The Indianola softball team has known for weeks their first postseason game would be in the regional final game with a trip to the state tournament at Fort Dodge on the line, but they didn’t know their opponent officially until Saturday night. The WDM Valley Tigers took down Des Moines Lincoln 8-0 in the regional semifinal, setting a date for the Indians Tuesday evening at Valley High School. Valley is 22-4 on the season, including winning 13 of their last 14 contests. Indianola ended the season ranked #12 in the last IGHSAU rankings of the season, while Valley was #3.
