While Pella Christian leaned heavy on their four seniors and a few juniors and sophomores for the majority of their at bats this summer, a freshman was their most complete hitter in a lineup that averaged six runs per game.

Emri Agre was one of the top 20 overall hitters in Class 2A this summer – finishing with a .522 average and 26 runs batted in with 10 extra base hits, 22 runs scored, and four stolen bases. Agre’s 35 hits were 7th best in the class this year, and her 51 total bases were 14th among 2A hitters. Emri credits an offseason of hard work and practice, as well as the support of her teammates, for her big leap from 8th grade to 9th grade seasons.

Pella Christian finished the season Friday to No. 12 East Marshall with a 10-9 record in a 2-1 walk-off loss – the Mustangs learned of a positive COVID-19 test Monday on the way to No. 3 Ogden, and had their season cancelled after forfeiting that game.
