The Marion County Board of Supervisors and the Knoxville City Council held a joint meeting Wednesday to discuss the master planning of the Knoxville VA campus. No action was taken. Knoxville Mayor Brian Hatch gave an update on the progress of the archeological study which was performed, saying that the consultant recommended that no further studies needed to be done.

The council and supervisors will continue to hold meetings to update residents on the progress of the project. The next joint meeting is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, August 25th.
