Pella Christian had a senior class of nine members on the baseball team this year, and while the Eagles had several players rise up over their four years of high school, two of their key athletes came back to the sport late in their careers.

Dan Jungling returned to baseball as a junior in 2019 and Jack Vermeer did so this summer after years away from the game. Head Coach Jeff Bruxvoort says the two were critical when the team had success, especially on offense.

Jungling earned 2nd team All-Conference honors and Vermeer was an honorable mention. Dan hit .292 with nine runs scored, while Vermeer had a .286 average and a team-best 10 RBI and five stolen bases.
