pleasantville-3

The #5 moment on this year’s Top 10 countdown for Pleasantville was Homecoming Night of the 2019 football season. The Trojans played host to Colfax-Mingo in Week 5, which was also the district opener.

The Trojans and Tigerhawks traded scores for much of the first half, but Pleasantville held an eight-point advantage at the half with a two-point conversion to make it 22-14. The third quarter remained tight, but the Trojans began to open things up later in the quarter and into the fourth, courtesy of a long touchdown run by star running back Cale Anthony.

Pleasantville held a 21-7 advantage in the fourth, and pulled away for a 57-28 victory. The Trojans moved to 1-0 in district play and 4-1 overall at that point. Pleasantville finished the season 5-4.
