The Pella Outdoor Aquatic Center is now moving ahead open swim hours from 1 to 6 p.m. between now and the final day of the season on August 15th on Mondays through Saturdays. The pool will be closed on Sundays. A total of 325 patrons are allowed in the facility.
• Daily rates remain $7 per adult and $6 per child or senior
• The following features will be open and available for use: main outdoor pool, body slide, shallow end fish slide and play structure, deep end for open swim, restrooms/locker rooms
• The following features will be closed: indoor pool, adventure river, drop slide, diving boards, water fountains
Facility Guidelines
• Time between activities is allowed for cleaning of high touch areas
• When not in the water, patrons must stay behind the yellow line
• Masks are recommended for patrons when they are not in the water
• Patrons may not sit on the edge of the pool or sunbathe in shallow areas
• Patrons in the water must be actively utilizing the area or they must exit to the patron area outside of the pool deck area
• Spacing marks will be applied to the concrete to separate patrons waiting in line to use the body slides or waiting to purchase concession items
• Concession items will be limited to beverages and prepackage items only
• Picnic tables and benches will be available; however, sanitization cannot be guaranteed
• Staff will not be allowed to report to work if they have a temperature of 100 degrees or higher or are showing other symptoms of COVID-19
• Additional signage will be posted throughout the facility to encourage social distancing and increased handwashing
