With two racing events in Knoxville over the next two weekends taking the place of the usual Knoxville Nationals, city officials are still expecting a large influx of visitors to town. The Knoxville Police Department has released a Frequently Asked Questions document in regards to the events and activities surrounding the races. Chief Aaron Fuller says that this year will be different than any other, and encourages people to keep safety in mind as their top priority.

“It’s a very exciting time of year, and unfortunately this is going to be different because of the pandemic. So we just want people to have a great time, we want people to support local businesses, we want people to come and be happy, but we also want them to be safe. Social distance, when they can’t social distance, think about wearing a mask, wash your hands. Take all of those precautions to keep yourself safe, as well as everybody else.”
