PCM graduate Hailey Schutte recently completed her senior softball season. As it turns out, it won’t be her last. Schutte announced that she’ll be joining the softball program at Simpson College when she moves in this fall. She says that the threat of not having her senior softball season at PCM back in May was a driving factor in her decision.

“With the scare of not having my senior season, I decided that I wasn’t ready to be done playing. Knowing that I was going to Simpson and having gone to Simpson camps, I decided that maybe I should play at Simpson. So I reached out to the coach and he was like, ‘Hey if you want to play, here you go, just sign,’ and I was like, ‘Alright, I will,’ and so I did.”

Schutte played shortstop and batted .322 in her senior season at PCM. She’ll be double-majoring in accounting and business management.
