For the sixth straight year, the Central College women’s tennis squad was given the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team Award. Meanwhile, nine Central players were named to the ITA Scholar-Athlete Team.

The Dutch posted a 3.42 combined team grade point average and a 9-7 dual meet record, placing fifth in the American Rivers Conference. To receive the ITA distinction, teams must carry a combined GPA of 3.20 or higher. It’s the seventh time the Dutch have received the award in the last 10 years.

Pella Alumna Bronwyn Metcalf was honored for the first time, while Knoxville alumna Sami Thompson was honored for the fourth time. ITA Scholar-Athletes must be a varsity letterwinner, post a 3.50 or higher GPA for the year and have been enrolled at least two semesters.
