With fall sports starting up in three weeks, area high schools are evaluating how things went during the summer. Twin Cedars Athletic Director Trent Verwers says for the most part, everyone did a good job of distancing and protocols from fans to players to coaches. Verwers adds it goes to show how badly fans in the Twin Cedars School District wanted to see summer sports.

Verwers:
“They really put the guidelines to practice and games. We really never didn’t have any complaints from other schools because we were not following guidelines. We did a really good job and it goes to show our community really wanted to have sports and it does change a kid’s life.”

Verwers says there are still guidelines for everyone to follow at fall sporting events this year. He says masks are not going to be required but fans are strongly encouraged to wear one, and if you are not feeling well to stay home.
