While many area schools have guidelines and mitigation requirements in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Twin Cedars Athletic Director Trent Verwers says fans are invited to come out to the Sabers athletic events and cheer on their favorite teams and players. He asks that fans be smart and safe when attending events.
Verwers:
“Understand the situation, know what the times we’re in, and do all that we can to keep the seasons going so we don’t have to cancel any seasons like other schools did. It would be devastating to cancel a season especially if these kids are having a good season.”
Verwers says fans are encouraged to wear and mask, but at this time it is not required. He says fans need to distance themselves from each other. The first home athletic event for the Sabers will be week one of the high school football season, which is against Montezuma.
