With the loss of senior Emery Sage to graduation last year, the Melcher-Dallas Boys Cross Country Squad will be very young this season. Coach Amy Stuart tells KNIA Sports that may not be all bad as the guys can now work together in practice and meets and not have someone far ahead of them.

Stuart:
“I see this group this will be able to compete more closely with each other and maybe pull eah other along, and have people to train with instead of having one or two people way out ahead of them, they can work together.”

The Saints first scheduled meet is September first at Albia.
