After sending two sophomores to the state meet in Fort Dodge this season, the Indianola boys cross country team is looking to build on the experience gained at the meet. Head Coach Kevin Barnes tells KNIA Sports running in the state meet is invaluable to the future for this squad.
“It’s my 20th year, and it would take some time for me to go back through on the number of guys who have that experience, especially as a sophomore. So if you can get up there, there is no starry eyes as a junior or senior, rather the guys are thinking about how far they can go and where can they place, this is normal for me.”
The Indians graduated one varsity runner in Jeb Borgmeyer.
