As the sprint car racing community converges on Knoxville for this weekend’s races, the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum is encouraging locals to show their support. Bob Baker with the Museum says that the year-round support helps Knoxville and the raceway provide the experiences that make it a special place.

“I think it’s important to show support for everything with Knoxville Raceway, the museum, everything going on because those are the people and those are the things that help support Knoxville. When there’s no races going on, the museum is open those days, the raceway has staff. The race car drivers that come here from around the country, they view Knoxville as Disney World, so to them, this is their vacation. They come here to spend money and have fun, and they just support our economy like you could never believe.”
