Women Inspiring Change Knoxville is a new organization. Its mission is to create new solutions for community problems and create opportunities for women to be involved and engaged in the Knoxville community. The group’s current cause is providing masks for all 1,700 students in the Knoxville School District. Amy Zuck with the group says that a project of this magnitude requires community support.

“We’re looking to provide masks for every student in the Knoxville School District. That’s about 1,700 kids. We are working with PTO. The booster club has also stepped up, and they have donated $1,000 towards our effort here. We’re always looking for other organizations in town that want to help out. We’re looking for community members, if they want to just donate a mask or two or 10, we’re always up for that, looking for ways we can bring other people into this cause.”

The group is seeking monetary donations, and is also accepting masks to distribute. The group is hoping to have the necessary funds by the first day of school on August 20th. To learn more about Women Inspiring Change Knoxville and information on how to donate, click here.
