Earlier this summer, the Pella FFA officer team traveled to Omaha, NE for their annual chapter officer leadership training (COLT). From July 27th-30th, the officer team toured the Des Moines Schools, went to the Omaha zoo, participated in the chapter’s Program of Activities and planned activities for the 20-21 school year. Some of the new events that were added are: greenhand camp, personal growth conference, soup supper, Ag safety Day, summer fun day, SAE visit day, chapter camping trip, adopt a family for Christmas, alumni thank you dinner, FFA recruitment night, and quizbowl. This year the 2020-2021 officer team consists of Senior Sydney Davis (President), Sophomore Maylei Ruggles (Vice President), Senior Ethan Klyn (Chaplain), Junior Marie Vander Wilt (Secretary), Senior Bradley Vander Wilt (Treasurer), Senior Sierra Vander Weerdt (Reporter), and Senior Jayden Jansen (Sentinel).
