The schedule for the Melcher-Dallas Football Squad is challenging, but Coach Pat Ferguson says it is not as challenging as last season. He says they got rid of Griswold and Lenox and replaced those games with district opponents so every game is important this season. Ferguson adds that while long time arch-rival Twin Cedars is not on the schedule, the Southeast Warren game is one he has circled, just because of the close proximity of the schools.
Ferguson:
“A lot of kids from Melcher have friends and relatives over there, so that’s a big game in their eyes. Then we play Murray, I know they’ve been mediocre in the past, another one is Seymour, because I have friends from down there and we’ve had success against them in the past.”
The Saints start off with Mormon Trail on August 28th. The Southeast Warren contest will be September 25th at Melcher-Dallas.
