The PCM volleyball team is eyeing a vastly improved record in 2020. The team won just five games last season, but returns the majority of a lineup that saw a lot of playing time last year. Head Coach Mike Vittetoe is excited by what he’s seen so far in preseason practices, and says the two sophomores on the roster can help bring his team to the next level.
“This is the deepest team I’ve ever had, I think, just from top to bottom. Any one of the 14 that are dressing varsity, I have no problem putting in a varsity match. We’ve got two sophomores dressing, Riley Johannes, who just came off a great softball season. She’s looking really good in practice, she can play multiple positions. Sidney Shaver is our backup setter, and she’s a sophomore and doing a great job. And like I said, from top to bottom, there’s not a weak girl.”
The Mustangs get the season underway August 25th at Newton.
