The City of Indianola has announced that 166 cases of COVID-19 have now affected residents within city limits, and an additional 47 not within city limits but inside the Indianola Fire District, for a total of 213 cases, two more since the latest update..

According to the most recent update from the Iowa Department of Public Health, Warren County has 619 cases, up 16 from the August 17th update. Active cases continue to see a significant drop, down from a high of 283 earlier this month to now at 166.

The latest Marion County Situation Report shows a significant growth of 17 cases since the August 17th update, with a slight rise in active cases from 43 to 45. Marion County has seen a total of 254 cases, with over 170 of those in the past two months.

The Iowa Department of Public Health shows Warren County has 4 deaths related to the COVID-19 virus, while Marion County has 0.

Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds has set a 15% positive test rate as a metric that might indicate schools should move to remote learning. Currently Warren County sits at 4.9% while Marion County is at 11.7%, with only one county in the state above the threshold.
