Simpson College has announced their faculty and staff awards for 2019, delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The awards are as follows:

Faculty Award for Exemplary Teaching
Dr. Chad Timm, associate professor of teacher education

Distinguished Junior Faculty Award
Dr. Katie Smith, assistant professor of sport science

Distinguished Teaching Award
Dr. Sal Meyers, professor of psychology

Faculty Award for Campus Leadership
Dr. Patti Woodward-Young, professor of teacher education

Distinguished Research Award
Dr. Lau Cesarco Eglin, assistant professor of world language and culture studies

Staff Impact Award
Russ Rivers, late night security

Staff Service Award
Mara Bailey, chaplain
