A Lacona man was killed and another injured in a rollover near the intersection of Underwood and G76 near Columbia last night at approximately 9:40 pm. The Iowa State Patrol reports Jesse Tollett, 24, was killed, and Zachary Barnes, also 24 and from Lacona was injured. Barnes was transported by Mercy Helicopter to Des Moines. The 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt, driven by Tollett, was westbound when it entered the south ditch, rolling several times, before it came to rest in a pasture. The Iowa State Patrol, Marion County Sheriff’s Office, Columbia Fire and Rescue, and possibly other agencies assisted at the scene.
