While many high school marching bands are holding off on competitions this fall, the Pella Marching Dutch are gearing up for another season of performances. The Marching Dutch are now participating in the Johnston Invitational on September 19th after the Urbandale Marching Invitational was cancelled. Pella will also showcase their work at the halftime of all three Pella home football games this fall, including the home opener against Harlan on Friday, September 4th. As of now, Pella High School still plans to host the annual Marching Dutch Invitational on Saturday, September 26th. Valleyfest is still on for October 10th, and the State Marching Contest through the Iowa High School Music Association will be held virtually on October 17th, followed by a performance in Ankeny at the Mid Iowa Band Championships to close out the season.
