After their dreams of back-to-back titles were dashed, the Mustangs return for a shot at 2 championships in a 3-year span.

PCM returns many players. Their current depth chart shows almost all of their starters are seniors, but also return Sophomore quarterback August (Augie) Stock, who saw action last year alongside Sage Burns, who has now converted to running back full time for his swan song Senior campaign. Expect Burns to be utilized in the Wildcat aplenty this year.

Head coach Greg Bonnett is prepared and making the same adjustments when it comes to constructing his team for 2020.

“Some of the things I thought we really had to work on was just sorting out some battles at key positions and maybe even restructuring some things to fit some of the guys that we have. Be it with the plays we were calling or defense with the scheme we were running. We got a lot of guys back but there’s a couple guys back that are just too good to keep off the field. When you got guys that can make plays, you need to find ways to be able to get them the ball of offense and also get them out there on defense to make an impact and a disruption.”

PCM opens up the season tonight at home against the Newton Cardinals on the KRLS3 stream at kniakrls.com, with pregame coverage starting at 6:30 p.m. and kickoff at 7:30, as Colton Emswiler and Jeff Lindsay will call the action.
