A ranked foe in Class 5A will be a road test for the 12th in 4A Lady Dutch volleyball team and the Eagles will have a packed schedule in the same city this evening.

Pella hits the road to take on Urbandale for a non-conference varsity match, while Pella Christian heads just west of that site to Des Moines Christian for a tournament. The Lady Dutch are 8-2 after a sweep of Newton Tuesday while the Eagles held off a late Grinnell charge to improve to 5-5.

The Eagles are hoping to find victories against Newton, Grinnell, Van Meter, and the host Lions in rapid fashion.

Pella’s varsity match begins at 7 p.m. at Urbandale High School, while the Eagles start at the Des Moines Christian tournament at 4:30 pm.
