The top-ranked PCM football team hit the road for the third consecutive week, this time to Saydel for the second week of district play. It was all Mustangs from start to finish, as PCM left the state capital with a 68-0 victory, as aired on KRLS3.

Saydel fumbled the snap on the first play of the game, which led to an Auggie Stock touchdown carry to get the scoring underway. Gatlin Boell added two touchdown receptions in the first quarter. A 28-0 lead after one became 56-0 at halftime after touchdowns from Braden Berger, Jacob Van Winkle and Aiden Anderson.

The running clock continued into the second half, and the Mustangs cruised to the win. Head Coach Greg Bonnett says that everything went PCM’s way.

“We took a business trip up here, tried to play to our standard, and we came out and exploded on them. That’s the way it went tonight, not really a whole lot that went bad tonight. It was good to get a lot of younger players in there, and showcase what they’ve got too. Especially proud of their performance because they played very physical and very well, and didn’t give up any points, still put points on the board, so that was good to see.”

Quarterback Auggie Stock led the way with five touchdowns on the night, four through the air and one on the ground. PCM improves to 4-0 overall and 2-0 in district play. Up next is a Homecoming date with Centerville. Pregame coverage begins at 6:30 p.m. on KRLS3, with the kickoff from Monroe scheduled for 7:30.
