The Indianola City Council discussed an issue of Indianola Municipal Utilities billing at their most recent meeting, after a rate was not adjusted for the differences of customers regarding residential and businesses. City Manager Ryan Waller tells KNIA News the council approved a planned sewer rate adjustment for the wastewater service fund, and the question posed to the city council was how to apply the adjustment.

“The question posed to council was whether or not to back bill the adjustment, and the council decided they did not have enough information to make a decision. Their direction was to continue working and gathering information, and then circle back so it can continue to be discussed. So I will be working closely with IMU to work out the details.”
