A Knoxville man faces drug charges following a traffic stop over the weekend. 24-year-old Joshua Wayne Wood had active arrest warrants, and was spotted by an officer near the intersection of West Pleasant and Garfield Streets in Knoxville.
Wood’s vehicle was stopped, and he was arrested. During the arrest, the officer smelled the odor of marijuana, which Wood admitted to possessing. The officer seized 7.6 grams of marijuana products, including a rolled joint and THC wax.
Wood faces charges of possession of controlled substance third offense, possession of drug paraphernalia, and violation of probation.
