The Pride of Indianola Marching Band and Indianola Music Boosters recently purchased new uniforms for the band, replacing uniforms that were 10+ years old. Becky Koloski with the music boosters tells KNIA News the old uniforms were falling apart to the point judges at competitions were pointing it out, and the community should be proud of what they came together to accomplish.
“The community really stepped up outside of the regular giving that they normally do, we had a lot of parents that stepped up and worked really hard for that. The kids did too, selling cookies and all sorts of things. So I have seen the enthusiasm really grow every Friday night, especially this year is really exciting because we just didn’t know what was going to happen with COVID-19. To be able to have them out on the field in those uniforms recently and perform the entire show, it was really exciting and the crowd really got into it.”
Kolosik also said the Indianola Music Boosters Patron program is beginning in October, and all contributions will go towards supporting music in Indianola in grades K-12. For more information, click below.
