For the third straight week, the Knoxville Football Squad was stymied in nearly every aspect of the game as the Panthers fell to Bondurant-Farrar on Friday night 53-0 in a game heard live on 95.3 KNIA. The Blue Jays took control early and built on a 10-0 first quarter to make it 38-0 at halftime. The Panthers were held to 35 yards of total offense and were never able to get a sustained drive going. Coach Eric Kellar, while disappointed, praised his guys who were playing with an injury and gutting it out.
Kellar:
“Praise the guys who were fighting through injuries, had three starters, a center who was playing with a sprained knee and playing on one leg, Haus was out there, and some others. I know injuries are a part of the game, but the guys did a good job playing through their injuries.”
Knoxville drops to 1-4 on the season and will host North Polk next Friday for Homecoming.
