The Knoxville Cross Country Squads are looking ahead to the bigger meets of the schedule. The Panthers hosted the Knoxville Invitational last week and both coaches, Michael and Mikayla Splavec, tell KRLS Sports the mental part of cross country becomes very important at this juncture of the season.
Mikayla:
“That’s a huge part of running, the whole season not the end. So we’re at our strongest point of our mentalities right now, we’re ready to keep pushing and reach our goals this season.”
Michael:
“One meet at a time, we’ve got Moravia next week, we’ve got all the conference schools except Clarke at that meet and try to gauge everything only one week out and try to get ourselves ready.”
The Panthers will travel to Honey Creek Resort in Moravia for a meet on Tuesday before the conference meet at Davis County on October 13th.
