Simpson College has announced that Jennifer Harvey will deliver the annual Matthew Simpson Lecture in Religion next week. Harvey is an award-winning author and professor of religion at Drake University, and will lecture on “Unholy Silences: Coming to Speech and Becoming ‘Undone’ in White U.S.-American Christianity,”

The Matthew Simpson Lecture in Religion was established in 1980 by professors Roger Betsworth and Bruce Haddox, members of the religion and philosophy departments who wanted Simpson students to hear from leading thinkers in religion, biblical studies and social ethics.
The lecture is free and open to the public via Zoom, and Simpson asks all who wish to view the lecture to register.
