Drought conditions locally remain unchanged for the third week in a row, according to the latest U.S. Drought Monitor Report. Most of south central Iowa remains in abnormally dry conditions, with moderate drought in portions of Warren, Polk, Jasper, and Mahaska Counties. Above average warmth and sunny and clear skies will continue through Sunday evening, when slight chances of rain continue into portions of Monday. Slightly cooler air returns by Monday as well, with highs early next week in the upper 60s. Stay tuned to KNIA/KRLS for the latest weather information.
