The Indianola volleyball team swept Warren County rival Norwalk in straight sets Tuesday evening on the road 3-0, picking up another Little Hawkeye Conference victory. The Indians comfortably handled the Warriors in set one 25-16, then came up clutch in a nail biting set two 28-26, then closed out the match with a 25-18 set three victory. Indiana head coach Kent Halstead tells KNIA Sports the team is looking forward to postseason play.
“Our goal at the start of the season is to be one of the best teams in the state. That doesn’t mean our record is going to be perfect, but we want to compete against class 5A teams and hopefully that will help us later in October.”
The Indians wrap up the regular season at 10-10 and 5-2 in Little Hawkeye Conference play, and will next host the conference tournament on Thursday as the No. 3 seed.
