According to the Iowa Department of Public Health, Warren County has seen a growth of 51 cases since the October 12th update, and has now crossed the 1,100 case mark with 1,114, marking a rise of 136 cases since the beginning of October, after growing by only 200 in the entire month of September. Active cases are on the rise again after dropping significantly in September and beginning of October, up to 187 from 154 in the October 12th update. Warren County has six deaths from the virus.

Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds has set a 15% positive test rate as a metric that might indicate schools should move to remote learning. As of Friday, Warren County is at 5.8%, while Marion County is at 9.9%. There are 14 counties currently over the threshold.
