A roller-coaster of temperatures and precipitation will take place over the next several days. In a week that has already seen record-breaking October snow in the Des Moines metro and along the Interstate 80 corridor, chances for strong to severe thunderstorms return on Thursday. Later this evening, chances for rain return along a warm front that will raise afternoon temperatures Thursday into the 70s, only for a cold front to follow and drop highs into the 40s on Friday and Saturday. A hard freeze is possible overnight Saturday as well. Stay tuned to KNIA/KRLS for the latest weather information.
