The Indianola girls XC team qualified to the state meet with a third place finish at the Council Bluffs Abraham Lincoln site, while the Indians boys qualified Curtis Johnson individually. Johnson placed 7th overall to earn the chance to run at Fort Dodge, while the Indians boys as a team placed fourth overall, just outside of team qualification.
Emily Naughton paced the girls with a 4th place overall finish in a crowded qualifier, while Gracie Foster placed 9th and Joey Werling placed 11th to round out the Indians top finishers, while the Indians finished in third place behind #1 Johnston and #4 Ankeny Centennial.
Knoxville’s Norah Pearson will be making her second straight appearance at Fort Dodge after qualifying as an individual, while Panther Seth Walraven will make his debut at the state meet also qualifying as an individual.
The state meet will be run October 30th at Lakeside Golf Course in Fort Dodge.
