According to the Iowa Department of Public Health, Warren County is nearing the 1,200 mark of COVID-19 cases with a growth of 44 cases since the October 19th update for a total of 1,196 cases to affect the area. Active cases are also significantly on the rise, up to 240 from 213 on the latest update, and Warren County has one additional death from the virus for a total of 7.
Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds has set a 15% positive test rate as a metric that might indicate schools should move to remote learning. As of Friday, Warren County is at 7.3%, while Marion County is at 9.1%. There are 14 counties currently over the threshold.
