The Tulip City high school cross country teams came together to help the community plan for next spring’s Tulip Time celebration. Pella and Pella Christian athletes helped the City of Pella Parks Department plant thousands of tulip bulbs along Main Street Saturday morning. The tradition has been ongoing for several years on the Saturday before the state cross country meet. City of Pella staff will continue to plant bulbs in various city parks and along other street beds, with a total of nearly 130,000 bulbs prepared ahead of the 85th Tulip Time in May.
